Clubs & Organizations
NJHS
The purpose of the National Junior Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to encourage a desire to serve, to promote leadership and to develop character in the students of St. Joseph Regional Catholic School. Membership is open to students in 7th and 8th grades who maintain a 93% average in every subject, including specials. Along with academic excellence, students maintain an 84 percent or higher in conduct, and participate in projects that who demonstrate responsibility and service to others. Scholars’ Bowl
The Scholar’s Bowl team consists of students in 7th and 8th grades who have a desire to compete against other schools answering challenging questions in buzzer contests. Membership is based on annual tryouts and active participation. All sixth grade students compete in two 6th grade match competitions. St. Joseph is a part of the Tri-County Scholars’ Bowl Association. For more information, contact the Scholars' Bowl Advisors.
Science Olympiad
Science Olympiad is an academic challenge opportunity that encourages teamwork and creates enjoyable competition. Membership is open to students in 6th through 8th grades who have a desire to compete against others schools in completing different scientific tasks. Scouts
This program is handled through the church office. For more information, contact the school office at 256.766.1923 who will connect you with the appropriate scout leader.
Student Council
The Student Council is a service and leadership organization that represents the student body of St. Joseph Regional Catholic School. This group also serves as a liaison between the students and the administrators. The Student Council plans several events and performs service projects throughout the year.
